Qualification:  Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Job Description:

 

As the Head of the Department for Finance and Accounts, Candidate to play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. Also be responsible for leading a team of finance and accounting professionals, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, and providing strategic financial guidance to the management team. Below are the functional key areas of responsibilities. However the same are indicative and not exhaustive.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Financial Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and legal requirements.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and resolve any audit findings.

 

2. Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes.
• Monitor financial performance and prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic decision-making.

 

3. Team Leadership and Development:

• Build and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team.
• Set clear goals and objectives, and provide ongoing guidance and feedback.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective finance operations.

 

4. Stakeholder Communication:

• Collaborate with senior management and other department heads to align financial strategies with overall organizational goals.
• Present financial reports and analysis to the executive team and the board of directors.
• Communicate financial insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in SAP and MS Office Suite
