Requirements: Looking for an Assistant Editor for a B2B travel and tourism publication with around (2 to 6) years experience. We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as an Assistant Editor for our Travel and Tourism Publication. As the Assistant Editor, you will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing our content, ensuring it aligns with our publication's vision and engages our audience from the travel, hospitality and leisure industries. Responsibilities: Selecting content, writing and editing for the magazine; Ensuring content is replete with accuracy to the best of my knowledge while maintaining quality in language and. layout Checking the texts for overall content, spelling errors, grammar and style. Editing, revising and re-writing content as per the established standards and style sheet of the magazine Coordinating with the designer for the page layouts and designs as well as doing page layouts now and then with the help of the designer Proof-reading the stories before sending it for print Attending events, having personal interviews and regularly doing interviews through telephone to ensure better credibility for my stories Liaising with the printer for final approvals before printing and delivery and magazines Coordinating with the marketing team from time to time for certain editorial/advertorial requirements, based on client's requests, release orders and ad-related content Also in the loop with Creative team for new artworks for in-house ads Engaging in Media Partnerships, in collaboration with the management and the marketing manager, with Processing national and international media applications for company's events including: Liaising with the management and operations team for confirmations, communicating with the media for ticketing, itinerary, etc. Coordinate with the organizers for the media programmes during the events and Collate their post-event print and online coverage after the events. Regularly updating the website; updating relevant news on social media (Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest). Uploading magazine on Issuu.com for public viewing Maintaining file of all paid subscribers and communicating to them about receipt of magazines and renewal of subscriptions Maintaining an online library of old content, copyrighted photos of airlines, tourism boards, hotels, industry associations, etc. Making post-event report for events as and when needed The position will be based out of Bangalore Perks: Job Type: Full-time Salary: 4 L - 6 L per year Benefits: Health insurance & Pf Schedule: Day shift Experience: Total work: 2 years (Preferred) Ability to Relocate: Bengaluru, Karnataka: Relocate before starting work (Required) Interested candidates do share your resume on along with Articles written by you to hidden_email, hidden_email & hidden_email
