1. Business Intelligence & Analytics:
- Develop and execute a BI strategy tailored to the auto, property and rest of marketplace, ensuring insights drive revenue growth and customer engagement.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and reports for tracking marketplace performance, user behavior, and business KPIs.
- Partner with product, marketing, and sales teams to optimize pricing, inventory, and customer acquisition strategies through data insights.
2. Data Engineering & Architecture:
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to collect, process, and integrate data from diverse sources, including website/app activity, customer transactions, and third-party APIs.
- Develop and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Maintain data warehouses/lakes (Snowflake, BigQuery) to store and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Work with cloud-based services (GCP) to manage real-time streaming data from user interactions, ads, and marketplace transactions.
3. Data Governance & Quality:
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security, complying with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms to detect anomalies in marketplace performance (e.g., listing trends, fraud detection, pricing anomalies).
- Implement data governance frameworks to maintain a single source of truth for business reporting.
4. Collaboration & Leadership:
- Lead a team of BI analysts and collaborate with data engineering, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within Mudah(engineering, product, marketing, finance) to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Drive automation in reporting processes, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience working in a DE, BI or analytics function
- SQL & Data Modeling: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and designing data models for analytics.
- ETL/ELT Pipelines: Hands-on experience with tools like Apache Airflow, DBT, or Informatica.
- Cloud Data Services: Familiarity GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow)
- Programming: Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Big Data & Real-Time Analytics: Knowledge of Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Marketplace Analytics: Experience in e-commerce analytics, including A/B testing, user segmentation, and behavioral insights.
- Experience working within a high-growth consumer Internet company with exposure to large amounts of customer data is highly beneficial
- Experience in organizing KPIs and dashboards as well as reading metric trends to evaluate business performance
- Experience in gathering BI requirements and structuring specifications to produce business-relevant datasets and ensure data quality of the dataset
- Passion for democratizing data effectively to the wider organisation for self-serve
- Keenness to innovate and improve the BI process beyond basic reporting, seeking ways to add value so that the organisation can consume data more effectively
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both sides of the business and the technical side.
- A self-starter mindset who takes Ownership, has a Bias for Action and never-ending obsession to excel in a lean and fast-paced organisation .
