Job Description

1. Repair and maintenance of ABC Fleet manage a team to organize timely and efficient: a. Schedule Services pre alert to ops team not to load timely cargo on these trucks. b. Running repairs night and day operations. c. On route repairs pass expenses en route and try to solve them at the earliest ensuring quality, ideally by identifying quality vendors on the route. d. Inspection night and day operations, using check sheet and preferably by using telematics tools. e. Preventive maintenance make use of telematics to identify problems in trucks before hand, train tracking team to identify these problems, such as free running, idling etc. f. Container Making / Repairing / Welding Works ideally by identifying vendors at UL points. g. Job card and repair maintenance entries in software vehicle vise. h. Average checking keep 1 or 2 extra drivers in Fleet Admin department to check average and identify problems. 2. Tyre and stock management a. Identify CPKM tyre. brand wise, and make suggestions for improvement. b. Maintain stock of consumables tyre and salvage, issued to trucks and in yard. 3. Vendor management and procurement a. Identifying, organizing, and procuring best products and vendors for timely, good quality and cost-effective repair. b. Liaising with OEMs for AMC etc. c. Passing vendor bills and allocating them truck wise. d. Assist in purchasing of vehicle and sale of vehicles and scrap. 4. Deal In Accidental / Breakdown / Major Overhauling Vehicles a. Spot survey to final survey. b. Deal with police issue and fleet related incidents on route. c. Getting final claim as soon as possible from insurance. d. Getting vehicle back on road as soon as possible
