What part will you play You should have core knowledge of grid and safety compliance / test automation / Certification. Tasks/ Responsibilities . Creation of specifications for the inverters from the guidelines of the grid operators and the respective applicable international standards. Support in the design of control algorithms to meet the grid operator requirements. Participation in the creation and finalization of requirements and functional Specifications. Preliminary measurement for certification with test set-up and measurement procedure conforming to standards (focus on safety requirements and grid coupling). Supervision of measurement institutes or certifiers during in-house measurements or, if necessary, in external laboratories. Execution of measurements and reporting for self-declarations. Preparation of risk analysis with focus on device safety in coordination with development departments. Clarification of problems with hardware and software team. Creation of inverter models relevant for certification (e.g. PowerFactory and/or PSSE, PSCAD). Participation in standardization committees for a better and earlier understanding of the requirements. Supervision of research projects in the field of grid integration of PV plants. Further development of test automation. Supporting other departments with technical questions. Communication with international development team. Requirements profile Expertise Completed studies (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech) in electrical engineering/energy systems or a comparable education Professional experience, preferably in the area of grid and safety compliance / test automation / certification or a comparable area. Very good knowledge in the use of MATLAB & Simulink as well as in one of the following simulation programs - PowerFactory, PSCAD or PSSE advantageous. Programming experience in Python or similar to support test analysis and automation an advantage. Experience in the field of grid integration of generation units/plants advantageous. Knowledge in the field of (photovoltaic) inverters and/or storage advantageous Knowledge of standards for (photovoltaic) inverters and their environment advantageous. Routine in the operation of laboratory equipment and control software (AC/DC sources/sinks, measuring devices and LabVIEW) advantageous. Knowledge of power electronics advantageous. Good communication skill. Personal and social skills Structured and independent way of working. Openness, ability to work in a team. High degree of independence and result orientation. High level of commitment and flexibility. Good English language skills mandatory. Interfaces Interfaces to all other specialist departments in development. Interfaces to production, service, quality and purchasing. Technical contact for component manufacturers and suppliers as well as external certification and measurement institutes.
