Job Description
ValueLabs is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with a strong background in Node.js development. This role is ideal for engineers who are primarily developers but have a passion for building reliable, testable, and scalable systems.
While 7080% of your work will involve backend development, youll also contribute to test automation and quality engineering using tools like Playwright or similar frameworks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Node.js applications using TypeScript.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and implement solutions.
- Ensure high-quality code by following best practices, coding standards, and testing methodologies.
- Troubleshoot issues and debug code to resolve errors or performance bottlenecks.
- Participate in code reviews to improve overall quality of the application.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 7-12 years of experience in software development with expertise in Node.js (TypeScript) programming language.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals including event-driven architecture, asynchronous programming, and DOM manipulation.
- Experience working on large-scale projects with complex dependencies management using npm packages or similar tools.
