Job Purpose The primary role of this position is to support the extraction - transformation of data objects between systems in Shared Services. The role will focus on creating, delivering, and maintaining data packages across MS systems that support operational needs, product reporting, and data store production/maintenance. Essential Functions Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to marry systems/data packages together (25%) Employ data extraction methodologies for APIs to generate consumable data for reporting (40%) Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production (10%) Develop ETL workflows (15%) Collaborate with BI Analysts and Tools team members on project goals (10%) Experience 2 to 3 years of experience Education Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 3+ plus years in corporate Data Engineering/Development Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012. 2016 PowerBI - Visual Studio Experience Required MySQL working knowledge 2-4 years working knowledge of Python and Javascript (not required but ideal) Experience with ETL Tools is a plus e.g. Talend, Pentaho, SSIS 2-4 years working knowledge Strong understanding of Relational Data Structures Strong understanding of APIs and programmatic data extraction Proficient and experienced with with Javascript API, Rest API and Data Extract API Familiarity with SAS, R is a plus Work Environment This position is an office position Supervisory Responsibilities No Supervisory Responsibility
