Job Description
The role of software developer (frontend) is to work closely on UI/UX and development aspects with the product team on various insurance solution products and features to drive growth.
- Develop new user-facing features using React.js, Vue.js, knockoutJs
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Experience with ES6 and good understanding of at-least one statically typed language (Typescript, C#, Java etc.)
- Thorough understanding of React.js, VueJs and its core principles and complete understanding of popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Benchmarking and optimize within industry and other product based platforms
- Good understanding of quality JavaScript code (Object oriented and commonly used design patterns)
- Capable of debugging complex issues in JavaScript
- Understanding of JS debug tools and chrome dev tools
- Understanding of JS module patterns like CommonJS, AMD, SystemJS
Candidate Profile:
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Web pack, NPM,etc.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial
- Understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
- Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
