Location: Based at China or India with global travel

Skills:

  • Strong experience in optimizing injection moulding machines.
  • A problem-solver with an analytical mindset and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for training and deployment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results without fail.
  • Proficiency in English language is required.

Others:

  • Experience of working in Automotive/Manufacturing organization would be preferred.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Mechanical Engineering Graduate with hands-on experience in injection moulding. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and operation, optimizing process parameters, and supporting production.


Key Responsibilities:


Process Development & Optimization

  • Develop and implement efficient production planning processes, focusing on same material, same tool, and same machine assignments to streamline operations.
  • Utilize real-time production monitoring systems and implement AI production planning tools to maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure tools, robots, and laser cutters are properly aligned and set up for rapid changeovers.
  • Lead and execute 5S initiatives to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient factory floor.
  • Standardize all machine setting information for robotics, injection molding, and laser cutting to minimize setup time and improve consistency.
  • Spearhead the full digitization of Mold shop operations, ensuring all processes are paperless and integrated into the companys ERP system.
  • Implement vision systems, including AI-powered vision systems, to improve quality control and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Work towards integrating AI-driven tools across the Mold shop to improve predictive maintenance, production scheduling, and quality assurance.
  • Instigate and manage major operational changes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements across the factory.
  • Train and mentor, the team to adapt to new systems, processes, and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robots and other equipment are on standby and fully operational to support rapid response to production needs.
  • Monitor and manage real-time KPIs to drive performance improvements and meet operational targets.

Production Support

  • Troubleshoot process-related issues in real-time to minimize downtime and scrap.
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to ensure consistent production quality and adherence to process parameters.
  • Lead root cause analysis for injection moulding defects.
  • Support preventive and corrective actions as part of non-conformance resolution.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all processes comply with quality standards such as IATF 16949.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation: work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ), and moulding process sheets.
  • Participate in audits and provide technical support to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead or support lean manufacturing initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma) to improve process reliability and reduce waste.
  • Monitor process metrics and identify opportunities for improvement using tools such as FMEA, DOE, and PFMEA.
