Job Title: Senior Linux Engineer Experience: 5-10 years Company: OneMind Services Location: Gurgaon/Remote Overview: As a Senior Linux Engineer specializing in OpenStack and Ubuntu at OneMind Cloud Services, you will lead the management and enhancement of our Linux server environments. This senior role requires a deep understanding of Linux systems, particularly with OpenStack and Ubuntu, as well as proficiency in automation and orchestration tools. Your problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and ability to guide junior team members are critical to our success. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstations, focusing on OpenStack Ironic for bare metal provisioning and Ubuntu environments. Ensure optimal system performance, emphasizing security and efficiency. Lead in troubleshooting and resolving complex Linux system issues. Develop and manage system backups, disaster recovery protocols, and scalability solutions. Drive. upgrades and enhancements, aligning system functionalities with organizational goals. Create comprehensive documentation of system configurations, updates, and best practices. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Linux engineers. Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and industry trends, especially in Linux, OpenStack, and cloud infrastructure. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field Extensive experience as a Linux Engineer, with expertise in Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, and particularly OpenStack Ironic. Advanced skills in scripting with Bash and Python. Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools, especially Ansible. Solid understanding of system monitoring tools and cloud technologies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in leading complex projects and readiness for on-call rotations. Preferred Skills: Advanced proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization technologies. In-depth knowledge of network security practices and tools. Certifications in Linux, OpenStack, or related fields. Good to Have Skills: Experience in cloud networking and service integrations. Familiarity with additional automation software beyond Ansible.
