Create and maintain spatial and non-spatial databases
Performing data munging and cleaning to convert data into its desired form.
Prepare maps
Creating "shapefiles" to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.
Designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
Converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
Producing maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data, including store locations, POIs, transport network, sales data etc.
Analyzing Maps
Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations.
Discovering patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.
SKILL SET
Experience with mapping tools such as ARCGIS, Mapinfo, QGIS.
High degree of proficiency with Excel, Access and other database tools.
Added advantage proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
Analytical mindset.
