Job Description
We re looking for a Web Developer with 6 -8 years of experience in WordPress and full-stack development. The ideal candidate should be skilled in both front-end and back-end coding, with the ability to create responsive websites. You ll work with design and content teams to build user-friendly, custom websites, ensuring smooth integration and customization. The role also involves maintaining website performance and security while working closely with clients to meet their needs.
Responsibilities
Web Development & Customization
- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific business requirements and enhance site performance
- Integrate front-end designs (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) into WordPress, ensuring responsive and visually appealing interfaces
- Leverage popular page builders (Elementor, Beaver Builder, WP Bakery) for dynamic layouts and seamless content management.
Front-End & Back-End Development
- Build responsive, dynamic user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript for seamless functionality across devices.
- Develop and manage server-side code using PHP to ensure robust, secure, and efficient performance.
- Implement responsive design principles to ensure websites are optimized for various screen sizes and browsers.
Performance & Security Optimization
- Optimize website performance, speed, and scalability to improve load times and overall user experience
- Regularly update WordPress themes, and plugins to ensure security and compatibility with the latest standards
- Apply security best practices, conduct audits, and perform routine backups to safeguard the website against vulnerabilities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and errors, providing timely solutions to maintain website uptime
- Handle server-side tasks, including database management and configuration, ensuring smooth deployment and maintenance
Collaboration & Communication
- Collaborate with content, design, marketing, and product teams to align website functionalities with business goals.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, provide regular updates, and offer technical support and training.
- Actively participate in team meetings to contribute to project planning, strategy, and continuous website improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 6-8 years of experience in WordPress development, including full-stack skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL), theme and plugin customization, and in-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture.
- Proficient in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap), and UI design principles
- Advanced knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and server handling
- Experience with API integrations and third-party services
- Strong understanding of web performance optimization, security best practices, and SEO principles
- Experience with mobile-first, responsive web design, and ability to convert wireframes into functional WordPress pages
- Proficiency in version control tools (e.g., Git) and solid debugging/problem-solving skills
- Experience with collaborative teamwork, effective communication, and managing multiple projects to deadlines
