Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our ESG Research & Analysis team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing companies' environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices and providing valuable insights that support sustainable investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of companies' management of environmental and social risks, and their compliance with international norms on responsible business conduct.
- Perform both quantitative and qualitative assessments of ESG risks and opportunities across investment portfolios.
- Support ESG investment evaluation by delivering detailed data analyses and risk assessments.
- Respond to internal and client queries to ensure data alignment with methodologies and policy guidelines.
- Follow standardized workflows to ensure consistency and quality in data collection and processing.
- Meet turnaround time targets for all assigned tasks.
- Identify and escalate any issues related to data interpretation.
- Conduct root cause analysis in case of identified data discrepancies.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience in ESG research, data collection, or business analysis is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with data visualization or reporting tools such as Crystal Reports, Tableau, or Power BI is an advantage.
