Qualifications Demonstrated Sales experience of at least 3+ years in a similar industry Knowledge of the ins and outs and the latest trends of the Study Abroad Industry Proven track record of meeting and exceeding expectations and sales targets and leadership experience Ability to work with minimum supervision Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively handle clients and stakeholders Roles and responsibilities 1. Leadership & Team Management Lead and manage a Business Development (BD) team of 6-8 members. Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and monitor team performance to ensure alignment with company goals. 2. Strategy & Planning Develop, refine, and implement business development strategies to achieve sales targets and company objectives. Prepare and execute periodic plans, ensuring all team members are aligned and equipped to achieve set targets. Continuously evaluate and optimize workflows to enhance efficiency and productivity within the BD team. 3. Lead Management & Conversion Oversee the entire lead management process, ensuring no leads are wasted from the top of the funnel to the bottom. Analyze lead data and metrics to identify areas for improvement, implementing strategies to enhance lead quality and conversion rates. Monitor lead churn, conversion rate, and customer satisfaction metrics, taking proactive measures to address any issues and improve outcomes. 4. Team Development & Training Provide regular training sessions to equip team members with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles. Offer constructive feedback and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Identify individual strengths and areas for development within the team, implementing targeted training and development initiatives as needed. 5. Industry and Domain Knowledge Stay informed on relevant international developments, including VISA and immigration laws, student perks, ROI, post-study career prospects, etc. Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges within the study abroad industry. 6. Collaboration & Integration Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Outreach teams to optimize various lead acquisition channels. Evaluate the effectiveness of different marketing strategies and initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement. Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration to drive business growth. 7. Performance Analysis & Reporting Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, lead conversion, customer satisfaction, and team performance. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, providing insights, recommendations, and updates on business development activities and outcomes. Utilize data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted initiatives to drive results.
