Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and/or backend
applications.
Develop and maintain end-to-end test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress,
Appium, or similar.
Build integration and regression test suites as part of the CI/CD pipeline using tools like
Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and manual testers to define test strategies
and ensure high coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Integrate test automation with version control and continuous delivery tools.
Identify gaps in test coverage, analyze test results, and proactively drive resolution of defects
and test failures.
Conduct code reviews for automated tests and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of automation tools and frameworks.
Mentor junior automation engineers and support their growth through training and code
guidance.
Monitor, analyze, and report test results and automation metrics to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience designing and implementing automated test solutions for large-scale
software systems.
Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C#,
etc.).
Hands-on experience with one or more test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress,
Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, Appium).
Deep understanding of QA methodologies, test lifecycle, and software development best
practices.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automation into build workflows.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and contributing to sprint planning and releases.
Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured) and backend automation.
Solid understanding of version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Nice to Have:
Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure,
GCP).
Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
Exposure to security testing and automated compliance checks.
Previous experience mentoring teams and establishing QA best practices at scale.
