Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Performance Tuning Engineer (Lead) to support our L3 Performance Tuning requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database systems with expertise in tuning, query optimization, and Oracle architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and optimize Oracle Database performance to ensure efficient operations.

Perform advanced query tuning and rewrite complex queries for improved execution.

Conduct instance-level tuning by adjusting configurations and resource allocations.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.

Maintain and enhance database architecture to support high availability and scalability.

Create and implement performance-tuning strategies, tools, and processes.

Monitor and report performance metrics using tools like AWR, ASH, and ADDM.

Qualifications:

Experience of 6 to 7 years in Oracle database performance tuning and optimization.

In-depth understanding of Oracle Database Architecture (SGA, PGA, background processes).

Proven experience in Oracle Database Performance Tuning using tools like SQL Trace and TKPROF.

Proficiency in Query Tuning, including execution plan analysis and index optimization.

Expertise in Query Re-writing techniques for complex queries and large datasets.

Knowledge of Oracle Database Instance Tuning (parameters, redo logs, undo management).

PL/SQL knowledge is a must.

Experience in the BFSI sector is preferred.

Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
