Business Function Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Job Purpose The candidature is requested for supporting and managing Database domain like MS SQL and Oracle DB environment in India. As part of IT Infrastructure Team, the role revolves to take care of BAU support operations, project activities and risk & compliance activities within database domain at country level. Key Accountabilities DB Administration for Oracle, MS SQL and other Databases and maintain Database uptime Manage BAU activities like backup, capacity management, DB Performance Tuning etc. and project activities like installation, migration etc Manage of. vendors (onsite/Offshore) infra support professionals for support & service delivery.Ensure that the defined processes (e.g. Incident, Change, Capacity and Problem Management) are well applied & followed Job Duties & Responsibilities Expertise in Oracle 12c, 19c, MS SQL 2017, 2019 and good knowledge in Maria DB, Mongo DB, Redis and Postgres Databases Responsible for overall delivery in co-ordination with App support and DB Administration for Oracle, MS SQL and other Databases. Ensure and maintain Database uptime Should have good experience in managing database BAU activities like backup, capacity management, DB Performance Tuning etc. and project activities like installation, migration etc Manage of vendors (onsite/Offshore) infra professionals to help deliver the required services and ensure that the defined processes (e.g. Incident, Change, Capacity and Problem Management) are well applied Define, report, and update regularly on KPIs / SLAs and make sure IT Service Delivery services are not impacted. Ensure the High availability of DB services for BCP. Participate in the DR Drill and follow the standards and policies regarding IT Infrastructure Services concerning operation Draft support documents and updating DB operations manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), life-cycle documentation Provide domain expertise to maintain overall Database health and stability - Collaborate with Operations team to help them with Critical issues/outages, Validate Root Cause Analysis for the critical outages, Collaborate with vendors for smooth introduction of new solutions/services for operations, Knowledge in Security management by Database hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability fixing Required Experience Proficiency (oral and written) in English, any additional language is a plus Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Oracle and MS SQL Databases Education / Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s degree in a scientific subject area: computer science, engineering Database Administration certification, Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills Core Competencies IT Infrastructure Database Administration & Operation Support in Banking Domain IT Service Delivery services covering incident, change, problem management, KPIs / SLAs for high availability of DB services including BCP / BCM process & standards Strong understanding and knowledge in IT Infra Database security management by Database hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability fixing Good interpersonal, presentation & communication (written/verbal) skills Technical Competencies Understanding of IT infrastructure and associated technology platforms & governing procedures in Bank / Finance Industry Understanding of regulatory IT Infrastructure guidelines , Audit, Risk & Compliance procedures on banking issued by RBI (local regulations in India) Work Relationship To possess capability to develop a high degree of working relationship with key stakeholders including Application Stakeholders , Region Domain Support & Infrastructure Teams Establish excellent rapport with internal , external stakeholders and seniors DBS India - Culture & Behaviors Drive Performance Through Value Based Propositions Ensure Customer Focus by Delighting Customers & Reduce Complaints Build Pride and Passion to Protect, Maintain and Enhance DBS Reputation Enhance Knowledge Base, Build Skill Sets & Develop Competencies Invest in Team Building & Motivation through Ideation & Innovation Execute at Speed While Maintaining Error Free Operations Develop a Passion for Performance to Grow Talent Pool Maintain the Highest Standards of Honesty and Integrity Primary Location India-Maharashtra-Mumbai Job Technology Schedule Regular Job Type Full-time Job Posting Jan 5, 2024, 6:52:10 AM
