Job Description
The CompoZed Product Manager is a companion to business stakeholder and acts as business representative on the project team. He or she partners with the business to ensure all business requirements are identified and prioritized and has the final say on functional and technical design. The Product Manager interfaces with subject matter experts, the technical organization, and the project team to ensure all voices are heard and coordination is efficient. Success in this role comes from general business and project management experience and top communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Conducts Scoping Sessions to gather requirements and provide back to stakeholders a high-level estimate for projects with the help of team
Conducts Discovery and Framing sessions (workshop facilitation) to help derive workflows, surface new ideas, and help create a better understanding of the application and the problem at hand with the help of more experienced Product Manager. Starting by framing the problem the team is trying to solve. They must be able to facilitate a cross section of representatives from a product team. Having designers as well as business owners, product managers and engineers in the room to take concepts in new directions and clarify constraints
Ensures Product Managers maintain a healthy backlog utilizing Pivotal Tracker software to keep the team focused and productive
Supports Allstate in the development of their Product Management practice by removing technical and process related blockers and drives momentum
Creates accurate test plans, conditions, usability and data; and executes product acceptance testing
Leads and teaches business product managers to lead both Office and Product & Design Standups
Leads and teaches others to execute Iteration Planning Meetings and weekly Retrospectives with the help of team
Primary Skills
Facilitation of Scoping, Discovery & Inception activities
Knowledge of Agile Methods
Backlog & roadmap management.
Story writing & planning.
KPI & metrics management.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Very good understanding of Agile methodologies, preferably XP
10+ years of software related experience.
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job

Flexible between 8am to 11pm shifts
