We are hiring for leading manufacturing industry facilities of Fertilizer, Chlor-Vinyl & Cement in Kota (Rajasthan) and of Chlor-Alkali in Bharuch (Gujarat). The company operates coal-based captive power, facilities - in Kota and Bharuch rated at 263 MW. 

Position: Deputy Manager

Job Location - Kota

Interview Date :15th & 16th January 2023 @ Bhubaneswar

• Process Monitoring / Control
• Ensure the healthy operation of the plant by checking operating conditions, analyzing abnormalities and taking corrective action wherever necessary.
• Take immediate action in case of emergency & bring abnormal parameters within limits
• DCS control & behavior monitoring
• Prepare a log shift reports, attendance reports & communicate plant operation status to the reliever
• Proper management of tapping crew to carry out activities as per the standing work instruction.
• Control of operating parameters by efficient management & control of furnace equipment &workforces.
• Timely communication & feedback to section in charges for corrective action in case of furnace abnormal behavior/quality deviation/tapping difficulty/slipping difficulty etc.
• Maintenance support
• Facilitate equipment maintenance by ensuring mechanical isolation & hand-over, issuing work permit, and taking trial runs.
• Co-ordinate the shifting of ash from ESPs & supervise de-choking of the coal pipes, ash lines in shifts.
• Take trial runs / changeover of stand by equipment & ensuring its operating conditions.
• Safety and statutory compliance

Ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements, through continuous housekeeping, and attending to other environmental aspects such as draining of  ash, water etc.

• Key Interactions
• Internal Electrical -      Instrumentation -      Maintenance Department 
• External : Occasionally with the labour contractors for sourcing of labourers as and when required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in metallurgy / chemical engineering

Experience

• 12-15  years in sub merged electric arc furnace- Ferro Alloys/Calcium carbide

Technical Skills

• Strong technical knowledge in sub merged electric arc furnace operation.
• Basic knowledge of material balance for Ferro alloys production.
• Sound knowledge of batch weighment system & its calibration.
• Sound knowledge of furnace operating temp profile & chemical reaction.
• Man management skill to handle shift crew for achieving shift target.
• Good analytical skills for parameter deviation & corrective action.
• Sound knowledge over raw material feeding system to cater furnace requirement.
• Sound knowledge of crusher, Vibrating screen, rotary dryer for raw material handling system.
• Sound knowledge of briquetting /sintering plant operation in Ferro alloys production.
• Sound knowledge of post tapping liquid material handling activities.
• Knowledge of handling equipment to facilitate smooth operation of cast house.
• Knowledge of furnace critical equipment & routine maintenance activities.
• Sound knowledge over SOP for each activities involved in production process.
• Knowledge over production process flow diagram.
• Knowledge of electrode paste handling & charging.
• Knowledge of furnace refractory lining.
• Ability to upgrade & adopt new practices for continual improvement.
• Ability to optimize available resources utilization
• Ability to reuse, recycle waste economically to bring down cost of production.

Should have exposure of SAP
