Job Description

System Soft Technologies is seeking a dynamic, high-energy Human Resources Assistant who will play a meaningful role in promoting our culture, vision, and mission through a wide variety of human resource functions. You will be responsible for providing HR assistance to support the employee life cycle which may include onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee engagement. Responsibilities:
  • Assist department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits administration, including benefits orientation, enrollments, terminations, benefit inquiries, invoice reconciliations, and Open Enrollment support.
  • Assist with the new hire onboarding process, including, but not limited to: background checks, drug screening, ADP onboarding, I9 verifications, and new hire orientation.
  • Maintain clear understanding of policy/legal requirements for I-9 processes.
  • Conduct I-9 audits, comply with I-9 requirements and administer E-Verify for all new hires.
  • Maintain employee documentation, maintain HR databases, process forms, and interface directly with employees who request information, or are new to the company
  • Respond to email/phone/fax requests and questions; when appropriate, escalate issues to the appropriate department managers
  • Maintain clear understanding of established company policies with the ability to direct inquiries to appropriate departments
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with record retention policy.
  • Provide administrative support in all facets of the Human Resources functions.
  • Plan, implement, and execute employee engagement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Working in HR activities in the US is a must.
  • At least 2 years human resources clerical experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, EEO Compliance, Worker s Compensation, Unemployment Claims processing and COBRA preferred.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information.
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep information confidential and commitment to produce high-quality work.
