Job Description
This role offers a chance to contribute to complex SoC designs, own DFT strategy, and play a key role in the architecture, implementation, and debug of DFT features for next-generation products.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement DFT architecture and strategy for ASICs/SoCs.
- Ownership of DFT features including:
- ATPG and Scan Insertion
- JTAG (IEEE 1149.x) Implementation
- MBIST/Logic BIST insertion and verification
- Generate and validate ATPG patterns for fault coverage goals.
- Work with RTL designers and verification teams for seamless integration and debug.
- Support silicon bring-up and production test flows.
- Debug DFT-related issues during simulations, synthesis, and post-silicon.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams including physical design, test engineering, and product validation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Solid hands-on experience with DFT tools and flows (e.g., Tessent, Synopsys DFT Compiler, Fastscan, etc.)
- Proficient in Scan Insertion, ATPG, JTAG, MBIST, and other test methodologies.
- Working knowledge of advanced technology nodes (7nm/5nm/3nm).
- Experience with DFT insertion, verification, STA, and pattern generation.
- Strong debugging skills and problem-solving mindset for resolving complex DFT issues.
- Good understanding of SoC/ASIC design architecture.
- Scripting skills in TCL, Perl, or Python for flow automation is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to DFT architecture planning and DFT-aware synthesis and timing closure.
- Knowledge of low-power test techniques, hierarchical DFT, or IEEE standards (1500/1687).
- Experience with Post-silicon debug and failure analysis.
