Cloud Engineer - AWS @ Xenonstack

- Design and implementation of AWS cloud deployment tools and solutions

- Perform AWS cloud development and design work that may include logical system design, cloud architecture analysis and design, and systems engineering

- Implement and automate the deployment of IaaS and PaaS services in AWS.

- Develop and implement cloud strategy and vision, enterprise cloud security, cloud solutions design and delivery, cloud migrations, infrastructure automation across a wide range of platforms

- Develop blueprints for a secure and adaptable multi-tenant cloud framework including custom governance, security, identity management and operational controls

- Develop automation templates and other IaC solutions to automate the provisioning and maintenance of large-scale environments and configuration management

- Support various technology groups and be an inspiring leader in the adoption of cloud architectures for existing and new applications, on-call rotation

- Work with various application and infrastructure teams to improve their internal processes

- Conduct meetings with internal stakeholders across IT and act as an ambassador for the team, spreading cloud-related knowledge to others in the organisation

- Be responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the AWS cloud infrastructure.

- Ensure necessary system security by designing and implementing best in class cloud solutions with Best Practices.

- Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating which ones would be a good fit for the company.

- Recommend process and architecture improvements.

- Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platform and application domains.

- Help us enhance and expand our CI/CD process so devs can build, test and deliver software safely and predictably.

Technical requirements:

- Architecture and Design for large scale AWS hybrid cloud deployments.

- Strong foundation with incident, problem and change management. ITIL knowledge and experience is required.

- Experience with AWS Services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route 53, IAM, etc)

- Experience using CI/CD tools (git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, AWS CodePipeline, Nexus, Artifactory, Terraform, CloudFormation)

- Experience with modern automation, DevOps, and Agile development

- Networking fundamentals including VPNs, DNS, subnetting, route tables, firewalls, etc

- Understanding of AWS security and monitoring and experience implementing best practices

- Experience with Monitoring and Alerting Tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, Zabbix, PagerDuty, Site24x7, Sumologic, Nagios

- Experience with configuration management (Chef / Ansible / Terraform / CloudFormation)

- Experience administering infrastructure for traditional monolithic web-based business applications

- Highly proficient in Linux administration

- Experience with coding / scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby)

- Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills

- Provision Dev Test Prod Infrastructure as code using Cloud Formation Template

- Template Container platforms and tools Kubernetes, Docker, EKS, AKS or Fargate.

- AWS Networking Virtual Private Network GSLB ALB Route 53 etc

- Experience with AWS Cloud Watch Deep experience with K8S Namespaces DNS experience
