Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Create visually appealing and insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI, to provide actionable insights.
- Create /Optimize the DAX / SQL queries to improve the efficiency of data with Power BI.
- Manage Row Level Security in Power BI to control access to data and ensure compliance.
- Utilize various connectors to seamlessly integrate Power BI with multiple data sources.
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting as requested by business stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related challenges and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirements.
- Perform thorough testing of Power BI solutions to ensure accuracy of the data, report reliability and integrity.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for the business requirements, data sources, and report development processes.
- Explore and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Cleanse and transform raw data into a format suitable for analysis and visualization.
- Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytics.
- Develop custom visuals or modify existing ones to meet specific reporting requirements.
- Optimize dashboards for performance, responsiveness, and user experience.
- Monitor and improve query performance for large datasets.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to help them understand and effectively use Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Set up and manage scheduled data refresh to ensure that reports reflect the latest data.
- Implement alerts and notifications based on predefined.
- Investigate and troubleshoot errors or discrepancies in data and reports.
Needs to Have
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in implementing solutions on the Microsoft Power BI Platform.
- Proficient in handling DAX / SQL queries and demonstrating a strong understanding of database management.
- Utilize multiple connectors within the Power BI environment to ensure effective data integration and reporting capabilities.
- Demonstrate expertise in implementing Row Level Security (RLS) to enhance data security and access control.
- Microsoft certification in Power BI platform.
- Willing to work from the office and accommodate US shifts.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements.
- Knowledge of SharePoint / Dataverse / API / Microsoft Flow would be an added advantage.
