Job Description

Job Summary:

We are hiring a skilled and detail-oriented ETL / Database Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data transformations, data integrity, and data quality in enterprise-level ETL and data warehouse environments. You will work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze business requirements and data mappings to create comprehensive ETL test cases and test plans
Validate data movement from source to target systems, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and integrity
Write and execute complex SQL queries to perform data validation and reconciliation
Perform data quality checks, backend testing, and report verification
Work with large datasets, data pipelines, and automation frameworks for data testing
Collaborate with developers and data engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
Document test results, defects, and test metrics in a clear and organized manner
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement in QA processes

Required Skills:

2 to 5 years of experience in ETL / Data Warehouse / Backend testing
Strong hands-on experience in writing complex SQL queries and working with large databases
Good understanding of ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, DataStage, etc.)
Experience in testing data pipelines, transformations, and data loading processes
Proficiency in database systems like Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or Snowflake
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

Experience with automation frameworks for ETL testing
Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI for report validation
Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
Experience in Agile/DevOps environments
Good communication and documentation skills

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
