Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer who specializes in real-time communication and chatbot technologies. The ideal candidate will lead the development of backend systems, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of real-time frameworks and conversational AI platforms like Pipecat and Likeit.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimise robust backend systems using Python and FastAPI.
- Implement and manage real-time communication protocols, including WebRTC, WebSockets, and SIP trunking.
- Integrate chatbot and conversational AI applications leveraging Pipecat, Likeit, or equivalent technologies.
- Work closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and production-ready features.
- Ensure that all backend systems are secure, scalable, and performant.
- Troubleshoot and proactively resolve technical issues related to real-time communication and chatbot interactions.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Expert-level proficiency in FastAPI, RESTful API development, and asynchronous programming.
- Demonstrable experience with real-time technologies such as WebRTC or WebSockets, or SIP trunking.
- Ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full-stack development experience with modern frontend frameworks (React.js, Next.js, Vue.js).
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Prior experience developing large-scale distributed systems.
- expertise in chatbot and conversational AI frameworks (Pipecat, Likeit, Rasa, Dialogflow, etc.)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
