Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce high-precision components, optimizing machining processes, and ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write CNC programs for milling, turning, and/or multi-axis machining centers.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
- Set up and prove out CNC programs on the shop floor.
- Optimize existing programs to improve cycle time and tool life.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure part accuracy and manufacturability.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and provide corrective actions.
- Maintain program documentation and revision history.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in CNC programming using software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens NX, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
- Hands-on experience with CNC machine operations and setups.
- Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and 3D modeling tools.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and quality-conscious.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in precision machining for aerospace/automotive/medical components.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and DNC software.
