Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our QA team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and stability of our products through automation, stress testing, regression testing, and release validation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
- Perform stress, load, and performance testing using industry-standard tools.
- Execute and manage regression suites across releases and feature changes.
- Conduct release sanity checks to ensure build stability and integrity.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure test coverage and release readiness.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and log detailed bugs.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration of automated tests.
- Drive continuous quality improvements across all stages of the SDLC.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, JUnit, TestNG, Selenium).
- Experience with stress/performance testing tools like JMeter, Locust, Gatling, or k6.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Proficient in Python, Java, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Newman.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles: black-box, white-box, and gray-box testing.
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing microservices, or multi-tenant architectures.
- Knowledge of Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana
- Exposure to security testing tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) is a plus.
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
