Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-native development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available GCP infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar IaC tools.
- Work with development teams to optimize the application deployment process.
- Monitor system health using tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Manage Kubernetes (GKE) clusters for application deployment.
- Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Dev, QA, and Product teams to improve deployment processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering role.
- Strong experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, etc.).
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent.
- Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Cloud Build, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Familiarity with scripting languages: Bash, Python, or Go.
- Good understanding of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs in a cloud environment.
- Strong focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.
- Knowledge of security practices and compliance standards (IAM, VPC, Service Accounts, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
- Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
- Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Background in Agile and DevSecOps practices.
