DMS (Medical Administration)

Qualification - MHA/MBA + MBBS/BDS

Experience 5+ years (Hospital Industry)


Job Responsibilities:

  • To fulfil the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the hospital to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • To take all necessary steps to fulfil the objectives of the organisation.
  • Study the patient response analysis IPD and evaluate scope of improvement for service provision.
  • To assist the MD/MS in conduction of regular ward rounds of patient management areas to ensure provision of quality Patient Care, Standard of Housekeeping, quality of Dietary Services and other aspects of administrative & operational activities.
  • To respond & take prompt actions to customer complaints for speedy and satisfactory resolutions.
  • To answer all queries of hospital clientele in the absence of Medical Superintendent/DMS Medical

Superintendent.

  • To assist the HOD for all administrative/operational jobs related to patient care, NABH standards, teaching, training, hospital promotion as detailed hereunder:

Patient Care

  • To achieve complete customer satisfaction by providing total quality management.
  • To ensure that NABH Standards for quality, environmental and occupational safety management for patient care are followed in letter and spirit.

HRD

  • On behalf of HOD to plan and prepare prescribed duty rosters for all categories of clinical staff, and put up for signature of HOD

Medical Administration

  • To assist Quality Manager duty to get hospital accredited with Accreditation Council.
  • To get website of the hospital updated periodically with new information related to the hospital facilities and services in association with online Marketing cell.
  • To take regular rounds of the hospital to ensure qualitative services of requisite standards.
  • To ensure the safety of patients, staff, land, building, equipment and materials.
  • Any other job for improvement of the hospital personnel.

Quality Assurance

  • To assist in educating and training the hospital personnel, incorporate and implement the NABH Standards.
  • To assist/support in the responsibility of processing of NABH accreditation.
  • To review, update, monitor & audit NABH standards and take corrective and preventive actions as and when required. In addition, to ensure and supervise that quality systems are being implemented.

Reporting of the Department

The following Departments/ employees will report to you:

  • Discharge Summary
  • Patient Care Coordinators
  • RMOs
  • MRD

IPD

  • To carry out regular rounds of Discharge Summary call and coordinate between billing

dispatch & discharge summary.

  • Response & prompt actions to customer complaints for speedy and satisfactory resolutions.

To become the first responder to all problems faced by patient in ground floor.

  • To answer all queries of hospital clientele in the absence of Medical Superintendent and

give adequate reply in discussion with consultants and RMOs.

  • To ensure preparation of Discharge Summaries in time by monitoring the work of

Computer Operators and in consultation with consultants and RMOs.

  • Check, correct and sign routine documents related to patient care and which are mandatory

in terms of billing, TPA, recovery and NABH.

Billing

  • Checking of the charge folio of the admitted patients.
  • To entertain all queries of panel and cash patients related to their eligibility to avail credit facility or

adjustment of bill amount in respect to discount/ Nonpayment of full amount.

  • To liaison with panel company RMOs, SMOs, MOs in setting of all bills & their query.

Others

  • To train the staff and impart team spirit and leadership qualities in Team.
  • To make constant efforts for ensuring CQI being the integral part of quality assurance.
  • To undertake any other task as assigned by the management and ensure their successful completion
  • To take all necessary steps to fulfill the objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure the proper vigilance of the incoming patients, attendants & other personnel
  • Ensuring proper resources are available for the smooth work flow.
  • To undertake any other task as assigned by the management and ensure their successful completion

Behavioral/Leadership Competencies

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in group across the hospital and as a member of team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of their work with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentially of his / her patients and adhere to by laws, rules & regulation of the medical organization.
  • Good Communication of oral and written (Hindi & English).
  • Sound Computer skills including knowledge of Ms Word & Excel.
