Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and strategies to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications (Web and API).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools or enterprise-grade testing software.
- Conduct load testing to assess the scalability and reliability of our Web and REST API applications under various conditions.
- Perform functional testing to verify our Web and API applications meet specified requirements and standards.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with onsite and offshore development teams to understand requirements and features for robust test automation.
- Identify and report defects, track issues to resolution, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to functional and load testing and quality assurance.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in Web and REST API application testing and quality assurance, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
- 4+ years of experience with Web and REST API functionality testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, JMeter or SOAP UI.
- 4+ years of experience with Web and REST API load testing tools such as BlazeMeter, LoadRunner or JMeter.
- Hands-on experience in testing front end web applications, and REST APIs that were developed using Angular, .Net and C#.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Experience with issue/bug tracking tools (such as Jira)
- Should be able to work until at least 1PM EST time zone to collaborate with onsite team members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience with programming languages such as .Net, C# and Angular
- Good knowledge of SQL and scripting
