Job Description
- Responsible for initial deployments of new routing products, respective new technology, major feature roll outs.
- Stage the customer deployment in lab to replicate field scenarios and test the solution prior to field deployment.
- Design and implement routing systems and networks.
- Responsible for RFI/RFP.
- Develop High level customer design HLD and able to prepare LLD (Low Level design).
- Handle product demonstrations, lab and field Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Prepare test plans for POCs, demos and carry out internal testing of the same.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert on product capabilities and network solutions.
- Work with the SE team to prepare and enhance solution documents based on lab validation.
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, SR, RSTP, MSTP, ERPS, Virtual Chassis etc.).
- Optimize network performance and ensure high availability.
- Interact with diverse teams like RD, Product Management and Sales team to understand the customer requirements.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network issues with NSG TAC Team.
- Develop and implement network security measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Should be well versed in IP routing protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP, SR.
- Should have understanding and application of MPLS based on LDP, RSVP and BGP.
- Should be an expert in FRR techniques at various layers (IP FRR, RSVP TE FRR).
- Should be an expert in L2VPN, VPLS, VPWS and L3VPN service constructs.
- Should have hands-on working experience in service provider networks or product testing.
- Should have customer interaction experience.
- Should be willing to travel domestic and abroad.
- Professional level Certification for Service Provider is a plus.
- Certification in routing (CCNP, CCIE-SP/JNCIE-SP etc.).
- Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience: 10 to 15 yrs experience from Telecommunication or Networking background.
- Education: Tech/BE (CSE/ECE) or any other equivalent degree.
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols and network architecture.
