Job title Finance Manager Compliance Line Manager Group Financial Controller Team Finance Summary of the position This is a critical role with high visibility within the business. As well as providing compliancy assurance and cover for the Group Financial Controller, this role gives huge scope for development into broader financial activities. Key accountabilities Financial Policy: To develop, regularly review and update all necessary financial policies and processes. [A financial procedures manual] Maintain tight compliance processes to ensure HMRC and Companies House requirements are met. Improve & maintain internal financial controls and procedures. Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations Understand statutory requirements that impact on accounting operations. Financial Accounting: Take responsibility for the accounting system, policies, procedures and financial reporting. Work with our auditors to manage the year-end efficiently and to ensure. statutory compliance with Companies House requirements for audited statutory accounts. Completion of statutory reporting, including consolidations. Develop and improve the Groups consolidation reporting function. Plan and deliver the Group audit process. Compliance: Manage all UK taxation & associated payments (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax (inc QIPs)), liaise with external advisors where necessary. Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements (VAT, Corporation Tax etc Ensure all company insurances are in place at the adequate level (eg travel, medical, group life, employers & public liability, professional indemnity, cyber etc). Payroll & Benefits Administration: To oversee the administration of the monthly and annual payroll and benefits payments and reporting. Manage UK payroll process. Skills and Experience | Essential Qualified with relevant accounting experience. Strong analytical skills are necessary. The ability to liaise with and support other teams within the business regarding financial matters. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office. Demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal. The ability to both show and take initiative. Previous experience of working in a financial reporting environment
