Job Description
Power BI Senior Developer
Role Profile
As Power BI Senior Developer you will be working as part of Finance Technology team, and support colleagues with short- and long-term decision making through KPIs, reporting and data analysis.
Key competencies and required skills:
In this role you will:
- Do Power BI Service setup, workspace configuration, administration
- Set up and manage Power BI best practices to minimize all types of risk
- Own the design, development and support of a suite of Power BI artefacts
- Manage Power BI on-premise data gateway
- Establish an ownership model for Power BI artefacts
- Continuously implement and adhere to LSEGs Data Policy guidelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage and action requirements
In order to fulfil the needs of this role you will have the following skills
- Expert level experience in Power BI, PowerShell, DAX, M (Power Query Language), and Excel
- Experience with popular databases such as Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, etc
- Experience in Dax conceptual modelling with real-world implementation of these models
- Experience in SSAS Multidimensional and Tabular Models
- Experience in creating Reports, Dashboard and visualizations in PowerBI
- Experience in embedding Power BI in Web Portals for Customer consumption
- Experience in handling authentication and authorisation with Power BI
- Experience in implementing static and dynamic Row Level Security in Power BI
- Experience in gathering requirements from stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective relationships
- Well organized and results driven
We expect you to have the following qualifications
- Power Platform Certifications
- Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science
