Position Summary

Responsible for test deliverables of team for assigned platform from test strategy documentation , test planning & execution (both manual and automated) , managing test defects and resource allocation including engagement with PM , BA , DEVs and other stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

Maintaining the integrity of the team s core offering , ensuring delivery of software of the highest standards in a timely manner

Working with the whole delivery team (development , business analyst and SME s) analysing test requirements , creating and documenting test cases in a structured and reusable format and designing effective , efficient and comprehensive test processes

Designed and developed Automation frameworks for different types of applications

Executing any or all types of testing: functional , component , system , integration , regression , performance , reliability , stress , compatibility , end-to-end and user acceptance in accordance with agreed test cases , test plans and SLA performance

Led a team of Automation testers and can drive the strategy

Defect Tracking - recording and follow-up to resolution using JIRA / Confluence

Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used

Develop and maintain test automation approach by applying modern test automation techniques

Design and create automated test scripts to address areas such as database impacts , regression testing , negative testing , and error or defect / bug retests

Perform automated data-driven testing on an API / XML level

Assisting in standardization of testing processes and methodologies including making suggestions on improvements to test practices and efforts

Advise delivery team regarding overall quality of the project and state of work

Working with project teams spread out in multiple location and regions

Ability to automate day to day tasks using Java / SQL Skills

Business Responsibilities

Including but not limited to:

Discuss and champion the overall Test Strategy to project and business teams

Assist in re-test of defects found in UAT , if required

Assist in preparation of UAT documents , if required

Assist in execution of the UAT Plans , if required

Assist in Test environment preparation , if required

Provide daily / weekly project status reports , if required

Participate in business meetings , where required

Essential Characteristics

At least 11 or more years experience in application testing

At least 5 or more years experience developing automated scripts , preferably Robot Framework and Selenium Webdriver

Possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and numeracy skills

Ability to automate day to day tasks using Java / SQL Skills

Self-motivated , flexible , adaptable and results oriented

Self-motivated , focused approach , innovative and an accomplisher

Positive attitude , driven and with a learning mindset

Ability to understand and promote process improvements as needed / supported by delivery team

Experience with all phases of Software Development Lifecycle , including system analysis , design , coding , testing , debugging , documentation and support.

Willingness to work in different time zones

Can lead the team of testers and work towards organizational goals

Key Skill Requirements

You will be expected to have:

Advanced Functional Testing experience

Computer Science degree or equivalent

An understanding of the Financial Industry will be preferred

An understanding of any one of the Testing Methodology followed within the IT and Financial industry preferably Agile

Hands-on knowledge in one or more programming languages is a must , preferably Java

Ability to create scripts and test application beyond record and playback

Ability to develop complex automated flows using suitable data structures , conditions , loops , etc and applying strong analytical skills with attention to detail

Familiarity with various framework design patterns such as Page Object Model

Exposure to unit testing frameworks like TestNG , Junit etc

Ability to automate day to day tasks using Java / SQL Skills

Well versed with various version control systems like Git , SVN , etc

Hands-on knowledge of build tools like Maven , Gradle , etc

Knowledge of continuous integration concepts and tools like Jenkins , Bamboo etc

Experience with Web Services testing knowledge and automation

Experience with testing tools for testing and testing support including Sharepoint , Confluence , JIRA and XRay

Advance users of excel / worksheet

Experience with UNIX and SQL preferred

Good sense of ownership and accountability with a passion for testing and delivering quality software

Experience in preparing and execution of test documents , testing estimates and test reports to track progress

ISTQB certification is an advantage
