Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with over 6+ years of experience to lead and contribute to the development of scalable backend systems and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate is proficient in Node.js (with NestJS), experienced with PostgreSQL or any relational database, and has a strong command of design patterns. Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ preferred), AWS, and CI/CD practices is highly valued. Exposure to frontend technologies is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Node.js and NestJS.
- Design efficient, secure, and scalable relational database schemas using PostgreSQL or other RDBMS.
- Apply modern software design patterns and best practices to write clean, maintainable code.
- Integrate and manage messaging queues, preferably RabbitMQ, for asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture.
- Build and deploy applications in cloud environments, preferably AWS, ensuring performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Collaborate with DevOps to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines.
- Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural decisions.
Required Skills:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Node.js, with production experience using NestJS framework.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL).
- In-depth knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and architectural principles.
- Hands-on experience with messaging systems, preferably RabbitMQ.
- Proven experience working in cloud environments, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to frontend development using React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
