Job Summary:
Vummidi Bangaru Jewellery (VBJ), a renowned name in luxury jewelry, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Site Engineer to manage site execution and coordinate with vendors and contractors for ongoing retail and facility projects. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards in design execution, safety, and timely delivery of our showroom expansion and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise on-site construction and interior fit-out works for showrooms, offices, or related infrastructure.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and internal design teams to ensure design accuracy and quality.
- Manage site schedules to ensure timely project completion within budget.
- Monitor the use of materials, ensure compliance with specifications, and maintain quality control.
- Conduct routine inspections and resolve any technical site issues promptly.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports, site logs, and photo documentation.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company standards.
Requirements:
- B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience in construction, retail interior projects, or commercial space fit-outs.
- Strong understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in civil and interior works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors and internal teams.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and basic site management software.
Preferred:
- Experience in luxury retail or hospitality projects.
- Exposure to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing coordination is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Tamil or other local languages is a plus.
