Job Description

  • To lead the senior team to ensure all company and statutory regulations pertaining to health & safety, hygiene & fire are adhered to at all times and that they operate to meet the budget requirements and deliver the required service standards.
  • To ensure that team members understand their purpose and standards of operation and to continue to drive Service Excellence through the team
  • To understand our contractual obligations and to work closely with the SME team to ensure that we are aligned to this while supporting the development of our Food Service solutions
  • To be proactive in our support of our Customers core strategy around wellbeing and to ensure that as part of these we are reviewing our ISS colleague's wellbeing needs within the workplace
  • To promote ISS as the employer of choice through an effective, proactive recruitment process ensuring that cross account relationships allow for internal progression and development
  • Owner of the food delivery and menu innovation across all Food service areas encompassing Hospitality, Events, CDR and Retail
  • Provide a primary contact for all matters relating to craft operational service delivery on a day to day basis
  • Responsible for delivery of all cost budgets all Food service areas encompassing Hospitality, Events, CDR and Retail and for providing monthly review and commentary against P&L
  • Provision of monthly operational reporting against strategic objectives.
  • Provide and lead the craft team in respect of service delivery and cover
  • Ensure effective communication on all aspects between Client, Customer and Supplier
  • Co-ordinate and manage all aspects of performance measurement for, Client/Customer feedback and ensuring documented monthly performance meetings are held. Proactively implement and manage service development initiatives and corrective action plans
  • Create and launch new Hospitality & Events brochures in line with seasonal trends and changes
  • Support at Culinary Council meetings and wider Food Services Events as required Ensure that the company's and clients Health and Safety policy is adhered to in all respects by ISS personnel and ISS contractors on site; Ensure full understanding of client and ISS Health, Safety and Environment culture and drive the correct behaviours throughout the teams
  • Ensure your teams understand and adhere to ISS managing safely policies and procedures - use of food safety and health and safety policy for guidance and reference
  • Ensure site supervisors / managers, with support from yourself, prepare and manage site H&S folders in adherence with ISS policies and procedures (absorbing clients minimum standards)
  • Promote and ensure that your teams understanding and appropriate use of ISS H&S tools, e.g. Assessment, Velocity, CMS, Workplace Inspections, accident reporting
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all risks. Support the proactive completion of corrective action plans emanating from site inspections, audits and risk assessments. Take lead on removing blockers compliantly to ensure timely progressions in CA closure

Responsible for overseeing Audit Reviews and compliance; Ensure readiness for external and internal audits

  • Promote H&S initiatives within the integrated team and focus on communicating existence, objective and use of supporting tools: e.g. KMI, Near Hit, Assessment
  • Ensure that all ISS staff have the required level of PPE and are conversant in its use and that all equipment used in the service delivery is fit for purpose and tested in accordance with H&S and statutory requirements

Infrequent Duties:

  • To assist at any special duties or functions which may fall outside of normal working hours
  • To report any Customer complaints or compliments and take remedial action wherever possible
  • To attend meetings, courses and training sessions as may be necessary from time to time
  • To relieve and assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments as required

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Exceptional leadership skills with core competencies around implementing and bringing to life a vision, strategic leadership and team engagement
  • At least 5years senior Chef Management of multi-site or single site management demonstrating continuous improvement
  • Sound knowledge of HSE and Food Hygiene with level 3 in both
  • Formal qualifications in craft skills or related work experience
  • Self-motivated; essential to possess qualities to lead, motivate and inspire teams
  • Able to represent ISS at a professional level to Client Stakeholder matrix and Senior Client Personnel
  • Must be IT literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Essential to possess innovative qualities and highly capable of taking an active lead role within a dynamic team
  • Must be able to identify and resolve issues and challenges to meet and exceed the expectations of our Client
