We are looking to hire an Android Engineer who is a self starter and not a task taker. This is a very critical role for the success of nucash. Youll do on a daily basis: Work closely with the Lead Android Engineer, Lead backend Engineer & the Head of Design Design and build applications for the Android platform using Kotlin, Java, and other development tools. Translate design and wireframes into high-quality code. Implement new features and improve the performance. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Ensure the best quality of performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. Test your own code before handing it off to the rest of the team To be successful youll need to have good knowledge of: Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and Custom UI design, Animations, Dependency injections, and Material design. Understanding and usage of the latest android frameworks like JetPack, Android Architectural components, Coroutines, Flow, etc. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different Android versions, and different screen sizes. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs. Offline storage, threading, and performance tuning Knowledge and understanding of different design patterns, architectures & data structures. Should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Should have the ability to work independently, adapt to any new technologies evolving in the Market, and be a good team player.
