Design Engineer - Utility Scale Solar EPC @ Talish Solutions

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solar Plant Design: Develop detailed solar farm layouts and designs, taking into account factors such as site conditions, optimal panel placement, and the efficient use of available space.

2. Electrical System Design: Design electrical systems for solar power generation, including inverters, transformers, substations, and interconnection equipment, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

3. AutoCAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD to create accurate and detailed engineering drawings and schematics, ensuring the precision of project designs.

4. Cost Optimization: Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-effective solutions and optimizations while maintaining design integrity and functionality.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant local, state, and national codes, standards, and regulations. Conduct quality checks and risk assessments to maintain project quality.

6. Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design reports.

7. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, electrical engineers, and construction teams, to ensure smooth project execution.

8. Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative design solutions into projects.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Proven experience in utility-scale solar EPC project design, with a strong emphasis on solar farm layouts and electrical systems.

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.

4. Knowledge of electrical codes and standards, particularly related to utility-scale solar installations.

5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

7. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and safety.

8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
