Position Description Locobuzz is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PostgreSQL Database Specialist with extensive knowledge of AWS Aurora for PostgreSQL. In this role, you will be responsible for critical database management tasks and ensuring the stability, efficiency, and security of high-volume transactional databases. Location: Andheri East, Mumbai Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL database systems. Monitor and ensure the health, security, and performance of the databases. Perform regular backups and recovery procedures. Performance Tuning: Optimize query performance and troubleshoot any database-related issues. Implement best practices for indexing, caching, and resource utilization. Database Design: Collaborate with application developers to design and implement efficient database schemas. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to the database structure. Security and Compliance: Ensure. database security by managing user access and permissions. Implement and maintain data encryption and data masking where required. Assist in compliance with data protection regulations. High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Configure and maintain database replication and clustering for high availability. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans. Documentation: Document database processes, procedures, and configurations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of database changes and upgrades. Qualifications required: AWS Aurora Proficiency: We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate in-depth experience in working with AWS Aurora within a PostgreSQL environment. Your ability to navigate, optimize, and effectively manage this database service is crucial for the successful execution of your responsibilities. High-Volume Transaction Management: You will be expected to manage databases that handle high-volume transactions on a regular basis. Maintaining stability, efficiency, and security under substantial loads is a core requirement of this role. PostgreSQL Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of PostgreSQL is mandatory. You should be proficient in all aspects of database management, optimization, and troubleshooting within a PostgreSQL context. Data Analytics (Advantage): While not a strict requirement, experience in data analytics is considered an advantage.
