In this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join and technically lead our dynamic and high-performing web development team. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, React, CSS, web technologies, database and backend technologies such as Java. You must be passionate about delivering high-quality, defect-free solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment and mentoring junior engineers in the team.
You will work closely with a small but highly experienced team of 3-7 years experienced engineers, contributing to both maintenance and development projects in the Product Information Management (PIM) domain. This role requires close collaboration with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams and backend developers
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to a small team of web developers.
- Hands-on Development: Actively contribute to coding, debugging, and optimizing front-end and back-end components.
- Defect-Free Delivery: Ensure high-quality, defect-free releases by implementing best coding practices, conducting thorough testing, and following Agile methodologies.
- Agile/Scrum Execution: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring smooth development workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend Java developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
- Code Reviews Best Practices: Conduct thorough code reviews, promote best practices, and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in web applications to enhance user experience.
- Problem-Solving: Take ownership of technical challenges, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and implement effective solutions.
Desirable:
- Good understanding of UI tech stack : React with Redux, Java script, jQuery, HTML 5, CSS 3, Boot Strap and unit testing
- Good understanding REST API standards and integration with UI
- Solid understanding of front-end and back-end web architectures.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a small development team.
- Good understanding Microservices
- Good understanding different data formats like JSON,XML and text
- Good understanding third party UI libs
- Good understanding of writing clean and secured code
- Understanding of Cloud components
- Familiarity with databases like SQL, Oracle
- Good understanding of Agile process
- Ability to work in a geographically distributed, cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Good understanding of CI/CD is plus
Personal Skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills to collaborate developers, testers, product owners, scrum masters, directors, and executives
- Experience taking part in the decision-making process in application code design, solution development, code review
- Strong worth ethic and emotional intelligence including being on time for meetings
- Ability to work in fast-changing environment and embrace change while still following a greater plan
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- BE or BTech degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent job experience
- 9-12 years of web application developm
