Job Description

Major Purpose: Responsible for the planning and implementation of changes to the Global SQL Server Databases and systems within established processes. The role provides support and maintenance by planning work and coordination with others to deliver functionality. Gives and receives guidance to and from team members when needed. Work and decisions are performed within established guidelines and with agreement from the team and other stakholders. Role will be responsible to identify and implement modernization and automation ideas. The role will complete the planned tasks and support functions within the defined matrix. Position Specific duties : As a member of Global SQL Server Database Team, you will be responsible for Providing Administration for Global SQL Server Databases and Systems. Providing SQL Server Database Administration functions Maintaining high availability and Keeping the platform stable by following the processes and suggesting improvement by analyzing. opportunities. Implementing Version upgrades, automation and continuous improvement projects Performing root cause analysis for problems and Incidents. Ensure availability, stability and integrity of database systems Providing oncall support in defined time window on a rotational basis Performs as a team member on an Agile team Required skill : Hands on experience in SQL Server Database Administration, Azure, Azure Arc, HADR and PowerShell Hands on experience on Windows administration and Powershell scripting. Experience as Core SQL Server DBA Good analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues Demonstrated passion for technical learning and implementing ideas leading to Automations and process improvements Good Communication Skills
