Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented Senior Civil Engineer, responsible for overseeing hospital construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction with specific experience in healthcare infrastructure, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Role & responsibilities
- Lead and manage hospital construction projects across various locations.
- Supervise site execution, ensuring quality control, safety, and compliance with health regulations and standards specific to healthcare facilities.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Resolve any issues or delays and provide technical guidance and decisions as needed.
- Review and approve technical drawings, BOQs, and procurement plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project scope and timelines.
- Manage a team of engineers, site supervisors, and contractors.
- Report project progress to senior management and clients.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree/ Diploma in Civil Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years in hospital or healthcare facility construction.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale civil projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare-specific construction requirements, including HVAC, MEP integration, infection control, and building safety standards.
- Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel and relocate to project sites as required.
