What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and services used by millions of users.
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and develop innovative features.
- Lead projects end-to-end from system architecture to deployment ensuring robust and high-performance solutions.
- Develop RESTful APIs and build microservices-based architecture.
- Design and maintain data processing pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Implement caching strategies and asynchronous task processing with tools like Redis and Celery.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD implementation.
- Thrive in an agile, fast-paced development environment focused on continuous delivery and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion engineering best practices, clean code, and high-quality standards.
- Take ownership of key modules and mentor junior developers.
- Design scalable and efficient database schemas, and write optimized SQL queries.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions and contribute to scalability strategies.
- Implement robust backend logic using Python and Django frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 engineering institute.
- 35 years of hands-on experience in backend development, preferably in a high-growth tech environment.
- Strong command over Python and Django.
- Deep understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL pipeline design, and database optimization.
- Familiarity with Redis, Celery, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
- Working knowledge of cloud services, particularly GCP and Kubernetes, is a strong advantage.
- Exposure to Machine Learning or NLP concepts is a bonus.
