Job Description
Position: Data Scientist
Location Pune Or Bangalore only
Purpose of the Position:
To utilize advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AWS technologies to extract meaningful insights from large datasets, driving strategic decision-making and optimizing business processes.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex datasets using AWS tools to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Model Development: Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models and algorithms using AWS services like SageMaker.
- Data Management: Oversee data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing using AWS Glue and other data management tools.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Reporting and Visualization: Create comprehensive reports and visualizations using AWS QuickSight to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities
Essential Skills:
- Must know image processing, computer vision aspects especially from the document parsingshould know the usage of document parsers in python, object detection models in deep learning, good to haveuse of LLMs for document parsing, OCR methods like tesseract, EAST, Easyocr, etc.
- Strong background in supervised and unsupervised models, especially clustering algorithms (K-means, DBSCAN), decision trees, random forests, and bagging techniques.
- Must know LLM concepts like RAG, meta data filtering, prompt engineering, fine tuning of LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, etc.
- Must know the GenAI pipeline (for RAG applications).
- AWS Proficiency: Expertise in AWS services such as SageMaker, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
- Programming: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Machine Learning: Expertise in machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
- Statistical Analysis: Strong background in statistical methods and data analysis.
- Data Visualization: Ability to create clear and informative data visualizations using tools like AWS QuickSight.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the specific industry domain (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail).
- Cloud Computing: Familiarity with other cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management: Experience in managing data science projects.
- AI and Deep Learning: Knowledge of advanced AI and deep learning techniques.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
Qualities:
- Must have strong urge towards research and exploration
- Proficiency with Python data science stack (pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent documentation practice and communication skills
- Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes for a fast-growing team and organization
- Able to communicate persuasively through written, verbal and client presentations
