Job Description
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems on Linux servers, including upgrades and patches.
- Monitor and manage the performance of SAP systems to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Administer and support the SAP technical environment, including the database, operating system, and SAP applications.
- Perform regular system health checks and troubleshooting to identify, analyse, and resolve system issues.
- Ensure the security of SAP systems and data by implementing appropriate security measures.
- Collaborate with SAP users and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical support.
- Prepare and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications and procedures.
- Conduct regular system backup and recovery procedures to ensure data safety and integrity.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and recommend improvements for the SAP system.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably in an SAP environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, SUSE) and SAP systems.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., HANA, Oracle).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices.
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
