Job Description
We are looking for a skilled RIM (Remote Infrastructure Management) Support Engineer to provide proactive and reactive technical support across IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud platforms, and security services. The ideal candidate is a problem solver, passionate about IT operations, and capable of managing issues remotely with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage servers, storage, and network devices using standard RIM tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical issues within defined SLAs.
- Support OS administration (Windows/Linux), patch management, and backup processes.
- Manage ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) for incident, change, and problem management.
- Execute remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 support as necessary.
- Participate in 24x7 rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or remote support environment.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux server administration.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix).
- Understanding of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and/or cloud (AWS, Azure) environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
