Job Description
Whom are we looking for
A true Infrastructure system engineer wanting to build a long-term career at Colruyt at its location based out at Hyderabad/Coimbatore.
An Engineering graduate in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institute with overall 3-5 years experience in IT environment with system administration on Backup, VMware, and Server Hardware with the following primary skillsets:
Strong knowledge in Distributed Backup Recovery
o Power Protect Data Manager (Dell PPDM)
o Data Domains
o Cyber Recovery Vault,
Proficient in administration of:
o Linux Operating System
o VMware (VMware ESXi, VCenter environments, vSAN)
o Server Hardware maintenance
o Disaster Recovery process
Roles and responsibilities
Daily tasks include (but not limited to): scheduling and monitoring backups, performing problem determination on failed backups and backup application
Experience in handling L2 support for VMWare Infrastructure.
Providing 2nd level systems support in handling Physical Server (Dell / Lenovo / HP).
Configure new servers / appliances (VM/physical) and develop processes and procedures that fulfil the support of secure systems.
Install, configure, support and maintain storage area networks and associated technology
Experience in executing firmware upgrade on Physical servers in the multiple environments.
Added advantage if you have: Storage, SAN, and Scripting knowledge (Python, Rest API, Powershell)
Execute and report on the project tasks assigned to you
You work closely together with other system engineers (Linux and Windows system engineers, data-center engineers, database administrators, network engineers...) and together in an international context.
