Expert Database Engineer @ Colruyt It Consultancy

: Weare seeking an experienced It is DB2 SYSTEM PROGRAMMER z/os or DB2SYSTEM DBA z/os tojoin our team.

What we are looking for:

DB2 system programmerwanting to build a long-term career at Colruyt Group

A clear communicatorin English and a team player.

An Engineeringgraduate in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institute with 8+years of experience in IT environment with database skills

Ability to work inshifts (until 20:30IST)

Ability to work oncalls.

Must Have Skills:

Experience with Db2and other tools maintenance processes to be able perform preventivemaintenance, function level upgrade and version upgrade.

Expertise inadministering DB2 databases on z/OS.

Proven ability indatabase maintenance, including regular backups, housekeeping and performancetuning.

Demonstratedexperience in database recovery and executing DRP procedures.

Experience inproviding production support.

Ability toeffectively apply learned skills independently, even without Standard OperatingProcedures (SOPs).

Experience with thefollowing DBA tools is a plus: BMC Apptune, BMC AMI Ops, BMC Log Master, IBMCloning Tool, and IBM Change Manager.

Experience in copyingproduction data to lower environments.

Essential knowledgeof JCL, SQL, REXX, and ISPF.

Nice to Have Skills:

Familiarly indesigning efficient database schemas to optimize performance and scalability.

Familiarity withscheduling tools like BMC Control-M.

Familiarity with IBMDb2 Analytics Accelerator (IDAA)

Familiarity withPython, Git, Jenkins, and Jira is a plus.

Familiarity withticketing tools such as HPSM or ServiceNow (SNOW).

Advantageous to haveknowledge of Physical Data Models (PDM) and Logical Data Models (LDM).

Demonstrate eagernessto learn across various aspects.

Perform databaseenhancements and modifications as required.

Conducttroubleshooting and maintenance across multiple databases.

Ensure that databaseinfrastructure remains operational at all times.

Maintain theintegrity, availability, and performance of database systems through technicalsupport and ongoing maintenance.

Work on projects asneeded.
