Engineer (Process engg) , Product Line Management (PLM) for Pulp & Energy Business Line (based in Chennai, India) Are you the enthusiastic, self-driven and service-minded team player we are looking for We are looking for Engineer (Process Engg) - PLM to be based in Chennai, India. This position reports to Head- PLM. In this position you will have an opportunity to Carry out Process design for Valmet products, prepare P&Ids (flow sheets using COMOS tool ), Developing and maintaining engineering processes in COMOS application, Support utilizing the possibilities of our integrated engineering systems. These listed activities are applicable for both sales and execution projects. The product include those under Valmet P&E Portfolio. This role includes a wide range of different responsibilities, such as, Prepare PFDs and PIDS (flow sheets) in COMOS Ensure Pipe structure and delivery package integrity to interface with other engineering tools such as e3d, and ERP. Prepare process. engineering inputs to Piping and EI&C disciplines Co-ordinate and support piping engineering for the preparation of pipe specification Participate in relevant engineering reviews Prepare documents such as valve list, equipment list and pipeline list Participate in HAZOP meetings and update PIDs. Create Inquiry specification for valves, evaluate supplier offers and review & approve the final datasheet/drawings from supplier. Co-ordinate with Equipment engineer/Product engineer to evaluate and approve supplier offers, datasheets and drawings of main equipment. Should be able to guide and review the contract workers output Documentation control Provide Back-office support during implementation and commissioning activities at site. Travel to customer project to collect site data, if required. Communicate and co-ordinate with key users of COMOS to maintain and troubleshoot of any software issues if any. Ensure that the quality of a product/process/system aligns with the organization's quality standards as well as regulatory quality requirements. To succeed this role, you will need: Qualification: BE (Mechanical / chemical/ Instrumentation ) from reputed university. Experience: Minimum relevant experience 5 years with process engineering experiecne . To possess interest to work in large process industry Proficient in COMOS drafting and object management with recent working experience (System admin. Added advantage) Basic understanding of script writing is an added advantage Should have knowledge on ASME /EN standard requirements on Boiler and Process piping Adhere to companys code of conduct and HSE procedures Solid oral and written communication skills in English PC proficiency (CAD tools, Data base tools, Office tools) Compliance to maintaining confidentiality of intellectual properties of the organization Has to be a good team member and an Indepedant contributor Good written and spoken English.
